Follow in the Footsteps
In a magical part of the world that few are privileged to see, the islands of French Polynesia have virtually stood still in time. Where scenics and wildlife are so breathtaking you’ll stare in awe before you even lift a camera to your eye. Where proud and handsome islanders welcome you warmly and really mean it. These are the places that sparked the imaginations of great artists like Gauguin, Matisse and Boullaire and great writers like London, Stevenson and Melville. And they’ll inspire you, too. Join us for our 10th Annual DSLR Photography Workshop Cruise to the Marquesas, Tuamotus and Society Islands with melodious names like Moorea, Hiva Oa and Bora Bora. The images you capture will be featured in a beautiful fine arts book a memento that will let you relive the wonderful adventure of a lifetime whenever you like and share it with family and friends. It’s the second time we’ve undertaken a book project (the first was Alaska) and each photographer will be generously represented; the creative bond you’ll form with your peers will be equally memorable. Our base of operations will be the luxury, award-winning, passenger liner Paul Gauguin, on which your every desire will be fulfilled. Elegant, sophisticated and with capacity limited to only 330 lucky souls, this beautiful vessel offers open dining, free wines and spirits and a casual atmosphere that assures a cruising experience unlike any other. Gratuities and port taxes are included in the package and roundtrip air from Los Angeles to Tahiti where the ship embarks upon its two-week voyage is available at a special rate. So come aboard as we explore the opalescent waters that Captain Cook’s Endeavor and Captain Bligh’s Bounty sailed more than two centuries ago. Revel in dazzling sunlight and seas so clear you can see a coin lying on the ocean bottom at ten fathoms. Enjoy mountains and moonlight, sweet breezes and the beat of music such as you’ve never heard before. And capture the beauty in your own unique way as did those who came before you. |
