The workshop assures that everyone’s needs are met by including specialized break-out sessions and individual instruction when appropriate. Relevant materials are supplied to attendees prior to the workshop.

Constructive critiquing of attendee work provides the kind of feedback that accelerates learning. A mix of structured and informal sessions in a relaxed, stress-free environment at sea stimulates the creative process.

Your talks on getting the image really make sense to me and definitely took me to a higher level. I am now aware of photo situations that never occurred to me before. C. Strange.

I valued the instruction by people expert in various aspects of digital photography. The most fun part, of course, is reviewing photographs taken by the class, learning Photoshop, and printing the final product. Learning as part of a group was important because each person has had different experiences that they could share. S. Smith

Arthur's presentations were practical and easy to understand. They were also very effective -- everyone's photography skills seemed to improve dramatically in just a few days. J. Cohen

Just wanted to say thanks. I enjoyed myself and learned a lot. Have more to learn but will keep practicing. Learned to use the features on my DSLR camera, to have a better eye, and the Photoshop stuff was a bonus. Got a lot out of the critique sessions where everything you taught came together. C. Haymes

How to take the picture that I want is most important to me. I got a lot about that from this course, and the critiquing sessions helped me big time in that regard. D. Christianson

I went into this workshop feeling rather intimidated by my lack of experience with a digital SLR camera but I felt comfortable asking questions-- and didn't feel foolish! I usually don't do things like this-- sign up for a workshop cruise but I'm so glad that I did. You have given me a great foundation on which to build. J. Clark

Arthur is a great teacher. The material is presented in a sequential, logical way. Building blocks, step by step, any of those terms. He seems to really care, and that's what sells the information and makes the recruits believers.
M Ginn

Most enjoyable listening to your presentations. You filled in a lot of blanks for me. Didn't have to ask a lot of questions as you covered most all my questions in your lectures. The tips and advice from someone who’s been there and knows the ropes were very valuable to me. T. Van Pelt

Very clear and relevant. No question went unanswered. Dan's Photoshop sessions were super and very relevant for me. The workshop was great, hit the mark for me. More than a worthwhile experience. Thanks for putting it together! H. Sunenshine

Prior to the course, I had started tutorials in Photoshop so I knew what the buttons did and where things were, but didn't have a sense of how to decide what to do to a picture or in what order. I learned a lot by the end of the week. R. Jeans

What I liked most was seeing the ways of photographing the same subjects from different perspectives. I found the suggestions that were given in class to be beneficial to all, not just the person whose work was being critiqued. H. Wolanski

The best part was having a small enough group so that I was able to get all my questions answered. J. Carey

I liked the demonstrations of different items - the external flashes/lighting options, the tips for holding cameras steady - I liked seeing everyone's images giving the opportunity to see different styles and results from different cameras. S. Arnott

I enjoyed the presentations very much. I liked the little hands-on tips that were given. E. Simpson

The camaraderie and our private conference room always available, the helpfulness and interaction of the group. The instructors were great and so willing to help us all. They never made you feel "stupid." B. Richards

Your teaching skills are excellent! Your materials were well organized and you put it across in a clear and concise manner. L. Epstein

Thanks to your being such a good instructor, you answered most of my questions before I could ask them. I had the confidence to volunteer to be a member of the Photographic Team at the Church and, ever since, I've been snowed under with work. Thanks for your encouragement! C. Hoole

I enjoyed having the opportunity to spend time learning with a group of really nice people. K. Guin

The people I met -- the ability to immerse myself in photography for a whole week -- the little things I learned that opened big doors for me in seeing new possibilities in photography and software manipulation. Arthur is an excellent teacher! B. Shulz

The variety of subjects covered and the chance to have the pictures printed and critiqued. J. D. McFarlan

I liked the size of the class and being seated together at dinner. It gave people a chance to get to know each other and share ideas. I came back with a new outlook on what makes a good photo. P. Moinette

I enjoyed the critique sessions to observe how others take photos compared to me. I think I learned to view things differently now and to see with a different angle and to be able to shoot other photos that I normally would not have taken. L. Eng

Great workshop, THANKS! The whole package hung together well, lectures, interaction, practice, critique. J. Kitchen

Even a year later I find that the time I spent at the workshop with you is valuable to me every time I pick up a camera. C. Kuhlman

I am pleased that I took the course. I got one damn good shot of my wife that made it all worthwhile. E. Morgan

Well worth it. We thought the critiquing sessions were the best part of the workshop. N. & H. Kleinberg

My entire "photographic" life has been as a producer of images that document whatever I am writing about so it was very liberating for me to learn to take photos that were interesting for their own sake. B. Gibbons

The reading material supplied prior to the workshop, reinforced by the classroom tutorial, then applied during the assignments, and followed by constructive critique made a total learning package. Arthur was a well-prepared, excellent teacher. P. Harris

I'm now looking for the picture in a different way and trying to train my eye to see differently. H. Brooks

It was a pleasure and an honour to learn digital photography from such an experienced photographer. I can now make pictures that I never dreamed to take and use the full potential of the camera. I certainly learned what I was hoping to learn. Thank you. A. Larouche
