For several years now, surgeons have been using robots to help them perform surgical operations. Indeed, they refer to robotics which makes it much easier to operate on certain tumours. But since 2016, a new robot has emerged. In its first trial, the robot was able to sew up the pig’s intestines with surgical precision. What’s more, it performed the work completely autonomously, without any help from humans. This success is due to the robot’s much more advanced imaging techniques. This has enabled it to be recognised as being better at surgery than both human-controlled robots and humans themselves.
The robot, champion of the game of Go
Go is a game of Chinese origin that is played in pairs. More complex than strategy games such as chess and others, Go is normally very difficult for a robot, an artificial intelligence, to master. But recently in 2016, one of the robots designed by the giant Google dethroned several Go champions. Thanks to its “deep learning” functionality, the robot became the world’s number one Go champion. Once again, robotics has surpassed the human being.
The robot, a better killer than humans
Robotics also serve the interests of the police in fighting back against outlaws. Apart from drones that are remotely controlled for combat from airspace in wartime, robots are also entering the fray but on land. For the first time, a robot was loaded with a bomb that exploded a human. However, it was remote-controlled.
Is the robot a better lover than the human?
Soon we will see marriages between humans and robots. Promised for some years, robots designed purely for sex will be more sexually active than humans. Thus, sex between human beings will become very rare.
